Over 100,000 people have been displaced by the ongoing conflict in the region. In January 2026, we distributed rice and essential food supplies to 135 families, providing vital relief to those in urgent need.
We are very happy that more children than ever are participating in our programs this school year. A total of over 120 children now regularly attend our courses in Siem Reap. The growth in younger age groups is particularly encouraging – a sign that more families recognize the value of education.
Last weekend, our annual charity marathon took place in Hamburg. Over 50 runners participated on behalf of Bamboo Shoots and together raised an impressive sum.
We sincerely thank all participants and sponsors for their support. The proceeds will allow us to purchase new teaching materials and expand our afternoon program.
After several weeks of intensive work, the renovation of our main classroom in Siem Reap is now complete. The room has been completely repainted, furnished with new furniture, and now features improved lighting and ventilation.
The children have enthusiastically welcomed the renewed space. A big thank you goes to all donors who made this project possible!
